European Commission proposes more transparency and less red tape for companies to improve business environment in the EU
The Commission has adopted a proposal making it easier for companies to expand the use of digital tools and processes in EU company law. It aims to facilitate cross-border companies' operations, increasing business transparency and trust by making more information about companies publicly available.
European Green Deal: Agreement reached on cleaner maritime fuels for shipping
The European Parliament and the Council reached an agreement on the FuelEU Maritime initiative. This measure will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the shipping sector by promoting the use of cleaner energy, and gradually decreasing fuel use over time, by 2% in 2025 to as much as 80% by 2050
Conclusions from the 23 March 2023 European Council
Following a discussion by EU leaders, the European Council has adopted conclusions on Ukraine after the latest developments in relation to Russia’s war of aggression. Also in discussion, were items including competitiveness, single market and the economy, energy, external relations and migration.
