The EUIPO has seen a number of important developments in the past few months, including the introduction of EU-wide protection for Craft and Industrial Geographical Indications, the launch of the European Copyright Knowledge Centre and the rollout of Early TM Screening.
On 1st January 2026, a new Edition of the Nice Classification will come into force, the 13th Edition (Version 2026). Trade mark applications filed as from this date will be classified according to this new edition.
