With 529 votes to 45 and 14 abstentions, Parliament adopted on Thursday a resolution calling on the Heads of State or Government to grant EU candidate status to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova “without delay”.

With a deal struck on Monday night, Parliament and Council negotiators agreed on EU rules to set adequate minimum wages, as provided by national law and/or collective agreements. The new legislation will apply to all EU workers who have an employment contract or employment relationship.

By autumn 2024, USB Type-C will become the common charging port for all mobile phones, tablets and cameras in the EU, Parliament and Council negotiators agreed. The provisional agreement on the amended Radio Equipment Directive, establishes a single charging solution for certain electronic devices.
