The European Parliament and the Council reached an agreement on the FuelEU Maritime initiative. A total of €7 billion were pledged by the international community at the International Donors' Conference ‘Together for the people in Türkiye and Syria'. These funds will be used to cover humanitarian needs, help the reconstruction of the affected regions, and support recovery in Türkiye and Syria.

The humanitarian situation in the east of the DRC is deteriorating due to an escalation of the conflict in North Kivu. The EU is releasing over €47 million through humanitarian partners to cover immediate needs such as nutrition, healthcare, water and sanitation, shelter and protection.
