The Council has adopted new rules to improve the safety, quality and cross-border circulation of substances of human origin (SoHO).

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a CZK 1.3 billion (about €53.2 million) loan agreement with Brněnské vodárny a kanalizace (BVK), the municipal water and wastewater company in the Czech city of Brno. The operation will upgrade the sewage sludge treatment facility of BVK’s Modřice wastewater plant, thus further improving environmental protection and public services in Czechia’s second biggest city.
