The Council has agreed its position on an EU law that will guarantee the rights of adults who are no longer able to make decisions without support from family members or a guardian in cross-border situations. The new law will ensure their right to autonomy is respected when moving within the EU.
A deal has been struck on new measures that will help stabilise farmers’ income. The agreement will help set fair prices for farmers’ products; establish clearer labelling and advertising rules and for the first time, stricter labelling rules for some meat products.
